Dealing with jumping up
The key to stopping this behaviour is consistency. Avoid accidentally encouraging or rewarding the behaviour. Even negative verbal or physical discipline, such as pushing the dog off, can be seen by the dog as a reward. Instead, turn away, and say nothing to the dog.
